Ancestors of Iverson Brooks

My great-grandfather was John Brooks Binns. He was the son of John Milton Binns (1868-1961) and Perthinia Brooks (1873-1942).
Perthinia Brooks was the daughter of Iverson Lee Brooks (1829-1876) and Elizabeth “Bettie” Lee (c. 1838-1907).
Iverson Lee Brooks was born 28 February 1829 in Caswell Co., NC to Christopher Williams Brooks (1781-1840) and Isabella Kerr (1790-1851).
Christopher Williams Brooks was the son of Christopher Brooks (c1755-1781) and Susanna Williams.
Some researchers believe the father of Christopher Williams Brooks to have been George Brooks. This debate is discussed in this blog. Information obtained from the North Carolina State Archives is also posted and discussed in this blog.
